The story behind making Garanos sort of restarts here. I'd given up on trying to get the entire book done by January of 2006, but that fall I was taking one of my first Art & Technology courses; Digital Image Manipulation, which was basically an introductory Photoshop course. I'd pretty much breezed through the course, since it was mostly things I already knew, but when I got to the final project, it was pretty much a free-for-all. I had all these pages that I wasn't doing anything with, so I though I'd do some of them in color and put them in the Art & Tech show.

It's astounding how much of a difference it made using color instead of black and white. It got me thinking, that's for sure.
