Was it a ploy by the Harbinger to turn Styx away from her, seeing her standing over Maryoku with a bloody sword? I think that's what was going through my head. And it was supposed to get Garanos into a position to be isolated from anyone who could help her, since she was taken straight to the jailcart to be executed outside the city. I wondered how the Harbinger could possibly know that, being sealed underground for so long, and the solution I came up with was to have the Harbinger partially takeover Garanos' consciousness and actually face Maryoku himself.
