Since I didn't stick in the smaller bits of character development for Styx before this, seeing him try to fight the Harbinger/Garanos seems more like a psychotic death wish than an attempt to save a friend and carry out his adoptive mother's wishes. Looking back at this makes me realize just how cumulative such things are, and makes me question actions I write for characters. Is there sufficient information given up to this point for the reader to believe the character can do this?
