I have to point out again that I really underplayed Styx's magical ability in the Originals. Styx performing a spell powerful enough to knock out the Harbinger (or expel the Harbinger, as he thinks he's doing) isn't plausible at all when you look back at the small amount of magic he used up to this point. He lit some torches, tried to read Garanos' mind, and that's pretty much it. In this version we don't even know that he was Maryoku's apprentice, nor what Maryoku herself was capable of, which is one of the many reasons that the huge change I made to Maryoku's death scene was necessary.
