Hihi! Long time reader, 1st time poster. And I just had to comment because I looove this conversation. It’s serious, mature… and pretty realistic.
Styx is kinda my fave character. I hope he gets to be happy in the end.
In all honesty, it’s hard for me to know how to feel about this. It was an interesting conversation, but I feel like my view of it is badly skewed. We know very little about Garanos’ fiance, but we’ve had plenty of time to get attached to Styx. It’s easy to favor the character we know over the one we don’t.
I just hope Garanos and Styx don’t do anything stupid…
I’d say that her feelings are pretty confused, given what she’s saying here. Also, considering all that this journey of hers has done to her, she’s probably starting to realize she might never be able to go home. But that question cannot be resolved until she finds him and faces that question directly. Love how this is getting more complicated by the moment.
This could get very troublesome. The longer they are together searching for her fiancee, the greater the potential for hurt when/if they find him. On the other hand their relationship may be needed to hold her together should the results of their search be more loss than gain.
Did anyone remember that Garanos’ fiance has long brownish hair? Not to mention that the person our dear heroine was dreaming of happed to have very dark, short hair, much like Styx?
