… amazing. Exactly *one* comic after I worry about them doing something stupid, here we are.
I know her fiance hasn’t been a major figure in the story, but I really got the impression Garanos had pretty strong feelings for him. That, and Styx seemed like the honorable type. This seems out of character for both of them.
not really out of character, just mismatching feelings.
she needs the comfort of a friend, he needs affirmation of a much more binding commitment.. and their bodies may ignore their hearts and listen to their glands.
typical mess, happens all the time.
C’mon… that’s not gonna happen. Probably next page they’ll be interrupted by something or someone.
If you’re confused about being in love or not, the best thing to do is not rush things up because then everyone loses. Even though Styx is honorable and all I think he’s acting like a guy, rushing things up, and that never works with strong and independent ladies like Gara. :P
@Nihau: You have a point. It would be sorta hard *not* to have feelings (hormonal or otherwise) for somebody who has risked their life alongside you.
@PinkPunkPill: Story logic does suggest an interruption at this point, but you never know!
I still think that Styx is going about this wrong, and after thinking about it for a few days I’ve figured out why. Coincidentally, I’ve finally figured out Garanos’ comment from last time – how he never thinks of his own happiness.
He’s looking at being with Garanos as being the only possibility. In his own words, if her fiance is alive he’ll leave. That’s not right. They’re comrades. They’ve risked their lives together and they have personalities that go well together. They might not get married or romantically involved, but that doesn’t mean he should just sever that bond and walk away. It’s not a contest between him and her fiance, and that’s how he’s been treating it.
Let’s not forget what he’s asking her to say yes to – the “silver medal”, not the other kind of regrettable spur-of-the-moment decision.
And if I remember correctly, Styx hasn’t said anything about what he’s going to do if they do find Ethreden – except that he doesn’t know. Don’t think that quite counts as “going to leave”.
ohh thats hot ;) <3
Woooo! Time for some hot, hot, regrettable sex!
Oh, now that is just too cute! Yes, make lots of STYX + GARA babies!

@Skivverus:
He hasn’t said that to *Garanos*. But it’s been brought up with another of the traveling companions, and that’s the answer he gave.
:)))))))) i literally exclaimed “eeps” upon reading this :))) eeps again!
