There’s often more to people than it seems.

Enfant: I had to giggle at the 404 too. ;)

I just found the comic today and caught up on the archives.

Am I right in assuming that the following explanation is what we’ve just seen?

The Red Moth helped Garanos fight off the demon but needed her to have access to his power. That way it would act to inoculate her when she was captured and the demon would remain dead (and would help her fight). Now that that battle is over the Red Moth is destroying that power because, over time, it could become addictive and slow warp our young heroine.

Wonderful movement in the panels, her hair flowing and blowing, the shifting of the flames – very, very nice job! Anxiously awaiting Friday’s addition.

I’m willing to bet that the Red Moth is the girl with the gloves. The one who “betrayed” them and helped Garanos get captured. ^^

Wow, beautiful page! The second pannel is gorgeous!

I think I know how this is going to play out:

Garanos can’t go back to her kingdom because, even if the Red Moth burns out the demon’s power, there would always be a cloud hanging over her. That’s not something you want in a Queen even at the best of times and now, that there is a back-stabbing usurper on the throne…

Somebody with authority does need to go back so Garanos will send send her finance back with the other one with her kingdom. It’ll break both their hearts but the good of the kingdom comes first…

Styx is going to alternate between feeling happy that she’s free and upset because of the pain he can see her in.

    That’s my prediction.

I believe the healer in the town was the sorceress known as Red Moth who originally sealed away the Harbinger.
