oh man, I figured evil lady was stringing geilen along w/ the cure bit, but didn’t think she was the source of it as well. Question, though; what happened to the knife in the last panel here?
On the other hand, “bastard” is more of a universal insult (i.e.: “you are a person of questionable parentage” shows up as an insult in more languages/cultures than “you are a female dog in heat” – the latter could even conceivably be considered a compliment… somewhere).
What is sad is that this moment of moderate redemption of letting him go is more then likely to be followed by the poor girl’s death as the disease quickens and eats her alive. She might make it out, but it’s 50-50 at best odds, but here is to hoping.

hmm, I would have thought “you fucking bitch” would have been more accurate. :D

I suspect that the knife got knocked out of Geilen’s hand as Ethreden broke free.

Hah! My first thought at ‘bastard’ was that our lad was the one used to infect her.

I think she is trying to make it look like Ethreden broke free on his own, hence the “you bastard” comment. Such beautiful expressions!

“You bastard” refers to Gharsena. “You fucking bitch” seemed a little too anachronistic to use naturally.
And Geilen is shoving/throwing Ethre towards Garanos & Co., as will be more apparent (hopefully) in the next page.

I would never have thought that Gharsena would have offered to cure the disease if she hadn’t have created/spread it.
The one thing I was wondering is what is the white signal symbol middle panel signifying?
