Now THAT is the way to die gracefully. Etherden is noble in both title and action! He knows he doesn’t have what it takes, but wants her to be happy anyway.
Oh dang it, I should’ve KNOWN this would happen! The only way to ever resolve these kind of choices is if one guy dies and gives the girl permission to love the other one. Otherwise she feels guilty and won’t go through with it. And even with Ethreden’s blessing, she still may not.
I still wish we would’ve gotten to know Ethreden better. But he is noble to the end it seems. Pity.
It does seem a little predictable. I’m hopeful that there will be some twists, though, really.
And, the awesome nature of the comic aside, in the second panel, I am somehow reminded of Sonic the Hedgehog, if he were a dying human. Must be the hair. :D
@Jorge: “Doesn’t have what it takes”? What the hell does that mean? Seriously, some of you people seem downright glad Eth is *dying* to make way for Styx. That’s just messed up.
Here’s hoping we get something better than a “Death of the Hypotenuse” ending.
I think Gara’s talent at healing is a lot worse than his so it’s not fair to compare to the reverse situation. I suspect that the disease is so extensive that he wouldn’t be able to do it if it were Garanos. Furthermore, Gara still has to lead her party off the island, make sure that her land is protected from the ursurper, etc, so she did the best she could in the situation. However, considering: http://www.garanos.com/pages/page-465/
it looks like she drained herself trying to heal Geilen and/or simply learnt what he told her that it had gone to far.
Aquila, maybe?
Sabreur, I was hoping for another way of resolving the triangle.
*snff*
Man, Eth is being awesome right now!
Dude, in any soap opera, Garanos would afterwards be like “no, it would be insulting Eth´s emory” or something like that. But Eth is like “THAT dude deserves you!”
So fucking glorious…

a true gentleman. That plague is serious business.
“Jumped through fire” literally and figuratively.
Life does have a way of not turning out the way you’d planned. Wonder how Gara will handle this.
Eh, she’s tough. She’ll make the right choice. ^_^

Yeah it is noble but I wonder if Geilen will be waiting for him on the other side?

who heals the healer…
if it was the other way around he would probably do everything to heal her or Styx.
I suspect that Eth was infected quite early in his captivity. There is a hint here:
