    Goodbye, Etherden. And yes, they should have BURNED the body. The plague may be magical, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t spread via normal means or contaminate the soil.

    I love the coloring in the first and fourth panels. Excellent strip as always, the lack of text in all but one panel really convey the seriousness of the moment.

    Death of the Hypotenuse ending. Ugh.

    I’ve loved the story, and I don’t regret reading it in the slightest. It’s been a fun ride from the very beginning. But Etherden’s death, in my opinion, leaves a lot to be desired. There was so much set up for Garanos having to work through her issues with Eth and Styx, only for Eth to turn out to be plague-infected and conveniently die at the last moment.

    But he and she did have a heart-to-heart at the end. He may have given her his blessing so to speak, but she could still have issues. (I rather suspect she will have some and this will not be wrapped up with a happy ending in the next few pages.)

    I wanted to say I’m a big fan of Garanos Webcomic and this moment deserves a memento, even if my words are just humble poor I’d like to express my respect for the dead;

    “Death is our only true link. Through entire realities, we all face the same destiny; ending.
    Rejoice, brother, for in death you are not alone. You have me, us, everything.
    Reward is unity. Heaven, acceptance. Peace of heart to be found in our arms assurance.
    Rejoice and join our ranks. Soon they shall join us too.”

    Wrapped Up?!?! No Way! Hmmm … lets see. Garanos ends up passing the stone on to Senberan to take back to Garanos’ Sister so she can be queen, most likely with Senberan as her partner. Meanwhile, Garanos and Styx plan to settle down in Severdon. However, while they have been sailing about the place Lucas has uncovered more information that seems to indicate that the plan to bring back the Harbinger was only a small part of a much larger threat!

    the whole comic could end here, this page is SO beautiful, like the prettiest page of the comic to date! tragic beauty. i had to comment, i was so taken aback by this page. but stfan could be right – there are several plot lines i’d like to see carried farther. wonder how many pages to go? i loved it when colby purcell announced how many pages she had left on lint, towards the end. but i hope you’re right, stfan, and we’re not close to the end!

    Alex’s archive page suggests she’s only going to go to pg 500.
    personally, as much as i’ve enjoyed Garanos, i like stories that have a definite ending.

    Well, whatever happens, and wherever the story goes from here, Alex has done an amazing job.
    Thank you, Alex, for supplying this fantastic art and story.
    And thank you for doing it for free.
    You have made the internet, and the world in general, a little bit better.

    The only thing that I found odd was that the sand looked a bit realistic for the characters, sence they’re drawn in a different style…..yeah….any who…bay Ethreden….I hope I spelled that right…..

    I knew it! I knew you were gonna kill him off, right from the start! Great comic. Glad I’m reading it now that its complete, or I’d be right mad about this point about waitin and cliffhangers.
