I’m going back on Livestream to color the comic! For the first time in a zillion years. Come join me!
Saturday, October 3th is 24 Hour Comic Day 2009! I will be doing a 24HC once again, and I’ll be screencasting and live video blogging for probably a large portion of it on my Livestream Channel. I’m going to set a tentative start time of 12 PM EDT.
Some might remember that I took a hiatus from September to December last year, since it was my last quarter of college, and my big project for my studio time class was completing four 24 Hour Comics, which you can check out here! I was totally drained of ideas after those four comics, but after another year I think I’m ready to tackle another short form comic!
I’ll post again later in the week to remind anyone who wishes to follow my progress. ^_^ The Webcomic Beacon is also having a 24 Hour Podcast with some awesome-sounding programming, so you should check them out, too!
Tomorrow is 24 Hour Comic Day! I will be starting my day at noon EDT (which is -4 GMT for all the international folks). I think what I’m going to do is steal Scott Kurtz’s idea and do a buffer for Garanos. My goal will be two weeks of updates, or 6 pages.
I’d really like to do another true 24HC, but I also don’t want Garanos to fall by the wayside! Perhaps this winter I’ll hunker down and do a new 24HC to make up for this year. ^_^
I’m going to be streaming my work on Livestream as much as I can. I fiddled with my camera last night and found a pretty good way to point it so I can record the pencil-and-paper drawings of the comic pages before I scan them into Photoshop. I hope all of you can spare a moment or two to stop by and cheer me on!
There’s a new vote incentive up on TopWebComics! A page from my sketchbook of the thumbnail sketches for the last few pages.
Today’s page (445) was streamed before a live audience on Livestream! You can watch the recording while I babble to the chatroom here. I’ve solved some of my computer issues for the time being, so I’ll probably be screencasting on a regular basis again. I’ll try to post something here whenever I go live, but it’s probably best to follow Garanos on Twitter to get all the up to the minute announcements. ^_^ I’ll also point out that I wont have previous recordings playing all the time anymore, but you can still watch older videos in the Video On Demand library.
For the writerly-minded among you, my friend Drowemos of Exiern is coordinating a collaborative comic for Zuda, and is looking for writers to round out the first 8 pages. If you’re interested, you can contact him for more information at drowemos@yahoo.com.
I should also mention that I won the WAGON Webcomic Battle/Webcomic Beacon Becky Card contest! You can see my winning card over here.
Hey folks! Today’s vote incentive is a special holiday artwork just for all you readers. It’ll get posted up properly here in the blog on Friday, Christmas Day, but if you’d like an early peek at it, just vote over at TopWebComics!
Today’s page (446) was once again screencasted live, and you can see the recording here if you wish. ^_^
