New Art!
I got some new artwork done this week! Check it out.
In an attempt to get some fresh artwork up on the art page, I’m doing full-body portraits of all the major characters. Maryoku and the boys will be next. ^_^ I’ve actually thrown these two on some t-shirts in the Spreadshirt shop, so check ‘em out there.
The Graphic Novel
I’m going to start the process of getting the graphic novel ready to be reprinted and sold at IndyPlanet, and one of the things I want to do is redesign the cover. The cover for the Lulu edition is a little boring, so I’m open to suggestions on what I should put on the new one, because I haven’t been excited about any of my ideas. Post your suggestions in the comments or shoot me an email.
Ohayocon
I will not be exhibiting at Ohayocon this weekend as I was not accepted into their Artist Alley, which was juried this year. So if anyone was looking forward to saying hi this year, it was unfortunately beyond my control, and I hope to see you next year instead. I will probably be stopping in sometime on Saturday to say hello to Paradigm Shift and any other webcomics I come across in the AA, and to my other friends who will be there hanging out, so you can always go to the AnimePunch table to talk to the rad dudes there. From what I know, there will be a breakdancing demo in the vicinity of the AP table at some point, which is usually on the second floor by the escalators overlooking the food court.

What’s all this about?
By buying Volume I from this page, you are piggybacking a copy on the order of books I am placing, which is my stock for conventions. The price in the dropdown menu is the total cost of the book PLUS USPS Priority Shipping. When I receive the books, I will personalize them with an inscription and a drawing of the character you specify above, then take them to the Post Office to be mailed to you!
Added 3/6: If orders slow down dramatically, I may place my order early, and will make a news post saying so. If not, then the last day you can order from me is March 16th.
What if I want more than one?
You can choose the options you want and simply Add to Cart, which will open in a new window! If you want a second book for a friend, simply adjust the options on this page, click Add to Cart, and the cart will be updated with the additional personalized book. Repeat until desired quantity is reached! There is an additional text entry during checkout where you can enter other special instructions. Please note that I cannot offer shipping discounts for multiple items at this time.
Can I get gift wrapping?
I’m literally a one-woman operation, so I can’t do anything special other than the drawings! Sorry!
Back when I took preorders for Garanos Volume II artist’s editions, due to an error on my part preparing the pages, page 195 was printed without any shading. I don’t know what happened where, but I clearly didn’t save the final version back when I first colored the page, so my first order of Volume II looked something like this:
It doesn’t really affect the narrative, as only one line of dialogue is omitted from the page, but as it stands, I have a whole stack of books misprinted in this fashion that I’d like to get rid of. So if you’re interested in owning one of these misprinted copies, today’s your lucky day!
These books are signed and numbered in two runs; some of the original run of 15 books, and the second run of 5 books. There are 14 books available, which I will distribute randomly. These are NOT Artist Editions, and thus will not have drawings in them– since I want to get rid of them, they are a bit cheaper than Artist Editions, plus it keeps the Artist Editions special for those people who chose to take a misprinted book instead of waiting for a corrected copy.
The version that will be on IndyPlanet is indeed the corrected (re-shaded) version, so if you order from them in the future, you wont get a misprint. ^_^ Now, without further ado, the order form.

This weekend I’ll be in the Artist Alley at Youmacon! This is my first year at Youma, and I’ve heard so many good things about it over the years that I’m really excited to go!
I’m even premiering something new there: BOOKMARKS!
These are fully laminated, and about 1.5″ x 5″. (3.8 x 12.7 cm.) It’s just these five designs for now, but I may add more if they sell well! They will cost $1 each, or free if you buy a copy of Garanos Volume I or II! (If I have leftovers, they will be in the store sometime after the convention.)
And next week, I’ll be spending the entire week at the ISCA Caricaturing Convention in Sandusky! I’m really looking forward to that, you have no idea. ^_^ I expect to see some big famous cartoonists I know again!

This week will wrap up Part 17 with page 468. I will then be taking a 2-week break to edit and start drawing the final chapter, and then Garanos will resume on March 1st.
