My artwork was accepted into the Toon Award Exhibition in Okoboji, Iowa! The Toon Award is an exhibition showcasing students working in the comic medium, and I managed to get myself in just under the wire before the end of December. I’m so thrilled that my work was accepted!
That said, my mom and I are now feverishly planning our trip out there for the awards weekend. The opening reception is on Friday the 24th, and there are workshops and the awards dinner on the 25th, so it looks like yet another road trip for me this month!
Wish me luck, guys! I might win an award for Garanos or The Shepherd! Holy crap, I’m so excited.
The new voting incentive on TWC is the Exorcist badge art from AP!
I’m currently in Okoboji, Iowa, and getting ready to attend the Toon Award Exhibition! XD The drive was long and arduous, but we finally made it after 13 hours. HOLY CRAP does Iowa have a lot of fields. I thought Ohio had a lot of cornfields… I knew nothing of fields. Iowa also has a lot of bikers.
Heh. Anyways, the reception is tonight from 5 to 7, and a bunch of professionals are going to be there, including Chris Browne, the current author of Hagar the Horrible, who is also one of the Toon Award judges. Wish me luck!
